Dynamic Simulation and Process Simulation

The Mineral Process Simulation software is critical to build a simulation model that makes it possible to establish and complete the mass balance of the plant, along with the corresponding granulometric distributions and other parameters related to unit operations involved, as well as to determine the production capacity of the circuit under analysis, detailing all the optimization strategies proposed with basic engineering information and flowcharts with detailed mass balance calculations. Models are calibrated and validated with actual data collected at the plant, which ensures greater confidence if extrapolations become necessary to investigate new process routes.

The Dynamic Simulation software is critical to calculate the annual capacity of the plant, since it considers the availability of each equipment and other random variables involved in the process, e.g., breaks, shifts, operational restrictions, personnel and resources availability.

Following are how these two softwares interact.

Reliability Study

In a complex system, involving several different pieces of equipment, each with its operating characteristics, individual items can fail and the time for repair can vary depending on several factors, and the interaction between the equipment affects the system as a whole.

The Reliability Study aims to analyze and simulate these interactions.
